A Fair Advantage
We tapped into everything we’ve learned from years of making the highest quality carbon full-suspension bikes and added the super-efficient Superlight™ suspension to make a World Cup-winning XC race bike. The Blur isn’t guaranteed to make you a race winner but being the lightest, full-suspension carbon XC bike we’ve ever made, it might be the difference between claiming first place...or just crossing the line.
XC or TR
The TR builds feature more travel (115mm rear, 120mm front) slightly beefier tires (Maxxis Rekon), a full height adjust dropper post, no lockout remote, and larger brake rotors. It's not a trail bike, it's a XC bike for certain courses.
Light Carbon Frame
The full-suspension Blur is lighter than most pre-race dinners you'll eat - 289g saving over previous generation.
Reserve 28 XC wheels
This is the lightest Reserve MTB rim (385g or 1367g complete). The rim bed is shallower and wider, meant for the newer generation of higher volume XC tires which are popular with elite racers.
Geo to match
The Blur's chainstay length is matched to frame size so every rider, no matter their height, gets the same balanced geometry and bike fit.
Two water bottles
Two water bottle mounts within the front triangle mean there's enough juice (or whatever electrolytes you choose) to keep the engine running.
No proprietary gubbins
There's no fiddly proprietary parts that could leave you stranded in a Cape Epic or Breck Epic campsite.
Made to last many lifetimes
The legendary Santa Cruz fit, finish and quality construction put this into a league of its own. The frame, bearings and optional Reserve wheels come with a lifetime warranty and any service is easy to do with our Rider Support pledge.
Chainguide
The only thing you'll be dropping is your competitors.

THREE VARIABLE OPTIMIZED.
1. INSTANT CENTER
With the 3VO system's unique virtual pivot characteristics, we're able to combine the efficiency of a hardtail with the proper support of precisely-controlled active suspension. This is how every full-suspension bike should ride.
2. AXLE PATH
A rear wheel that stays planted while charging through rough terrain is crucial to providing an intimate connection with the trail. 3VO's initial rearward axle path allows the bike to be supple on small bumps and square edge hits while its tightly tuned relationship with the system's leverage ratio keeps the suspension highly reactive even while pedaling.
3. LEVERAGE RATIO
Imagine having two bikes in one, that's essentially what we've got with 3VO. The tuned multi-phase leverage ratio with initial rising rate provides an unparalleled pedaling platform while remaining keenly adept at sustaining repeated bumps without holdup.
Up to just beyond the sag point, the system employs a slight rising rate. Some designs claim an initial falling rate with high initial leverage improves sensitivity and responsiveness, but these claims seem more driven by a need to market a deficiency than by any genuine benefit. Why? Because up until the sag point of the bike, sensitivity and responsiveness are primarily felt when the suspension is able to extend, not compress.

Built for modern XC racing, this full-composite flyer tackles steep singletrack climbs and technical descents with speed and control. With FlexPoint Pro rear suspension and race-ready geometry, it puts you at the front of the pack.
Key Performance Factors:
Ultra-efficient
Advanced composite frameset is 241g lighter than previous generation. The bottom bracket area is stiffer for faster acceleration, and a steeper seat tube puts the rider in an efficient climbing position.
Superior control
FlexPoint Pro suspension delivers 100mm of smooth, active rear travel. The frameset features modern XC geometry including a slacker 67.5-degree head tube and 110mm suspension fork for technical descents.
29er stability and speed
Frame geometry and suspension are optimized for fast and stable 29-inch wheels. A longer reach and modified cockpit including a 35mm composite handlebar and alloy stem further boost balance and stability on XC terrain.

ROCK THE MULLET STYLE OR GO ALL IN ON 29. EITHER WAY, THIS NEW ENDURO RIPPER IS MADE TO PUSH LIMITS ON HARD-CHARGING TERRAIN. UPDATED SUSPENSION EATS UP ROCKS, DROPS AND WHATEVER THE TRAIL THROWS YOUR WAY. AND A THREE-POSITION FLIP CHIP LETS YOU ADJUST ALL THE ANGLES TO DIAL IT IN JUST RIGHT.
KEY PERFORMANCE FACTORS
Race-bred suspension
A new Maestro rear suspension system with longer travel (160mm) was developed and tested under the extreme conditions of Enduro World Series races. The trunnion mount shock has a longer stroke (62.5mm compared to 60mm on the previous generation). And the Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm adds stiffness and lowers overall weight.
Adjustable enduro geometry
New flip chip technology lets you switch between three settings depending on the terrain. You can select a 63.5, 63.9 or 64.2-degree head angle and corresponding 78.3, 78.7 or 79-degree seat tube angle, resulting in a 35, 30 or 25mm bottom bracket drop (size medium) to fine-tune handling for trail conditions, riding style and rear-wheel size.
Rear wheel options
Riders can choose either a 29- or 27.5-inch rear wheel, paired with a 29-inch front wheel. The larger 29-inch option improves stability and roll-over capabilities, while the 27.5 option delivers a more agile, snappier feel. It's a quick and easy change to adjust the bike's handling and feel.
HIGHLIGHTS
The geometry of the ALUXX SL aluminum frameset has been updated to accommodate 29-inch wheels, and you now have the option to run a "mullet" setup with a 27.5 rear wheel. This translates into a short chainstay length, a shorter reach, and geometry that can be adjusted via a three-position flip chip. An updated Maestro suspension system delivers 160mm of rear wheel travel mated to a 170mm fork. And new integrated down tube storage provides convenient carrying capacity for trail riding essentials.
